Raclette Party

Last night a couple of th e offensive lineman and Matt P. got together at Arnaud (the left guards) apartment. First off Arnauds got a pretty good set up, his TV rivals the excessive size of most TV's in America, and the oversized leather couches were comfortable. Anyways we ate Raclette which is a traditional type of meal. It is based off of the type of cheese you eat with the meal, Raclette cheese.

Normally what you do is boil some potatoes, then after they are ready, you start melting the cheese in a litle tray that sits in the heating machine. It is amazing because the cheese gets so hot it becomes almost fondu. While your melting cheese you also heat up an assortment of meat's. Jambon (ham), bacon, salami, bologna, etc. You cut open the potatoes, put some butter on it, add the meat, and finally cover it with the cheese. It is amazing. You can also do this in the warming trays and you have it already melted together (my personal opinion on how Raclette should be consumed) Also you can have cornichons (Amy's favorite, pickles) or olives with it, or whatever you like.

I picture if Americans get a hold of this it would make a great tailgating experience. Because it is a big social event and really brings people together. Anyways it reminded me of some film that I took a while back of a raclette party we had at the apartment. This is just a video of the typical raclette.

Also, Will's daughter is coming in this weekend and will be staying with us for 2 weeks. I am excited because I love kids. She is 3 years old and will be awesome! I think we are planning on going to Disneyland with her as well!!! Anyways I will let you know how she is and our adventures. Also, we have a game this weekend on Sunday at 2pm against the Templier. They are probably a team we are competing with to get into the playoffs. It should be a big make or break the season type of game.
